McCartney, 68, began dating the New York businessman and socialite was aged 51 after a divorce from his second wife Heather Mills.
McCartney's publicist, Stuart Bell, confirmed the latest news from this former Beatle. However, Bell refused to give more details about when and how McCartney invites Shevell to get engaged.
McCartney, 68, and Shevell was first seen together in the Hamptons of Long Island in late 2007. Since then, Shevell often appearing at red carpet events, fashion shows held by Stella McCartney, Grammy, and McCartney concerts around the world.
McCartney previously pick the wife Linda, who died of cancer in 1998. Then he married Mills in 2002 and divorced six years later.
Shevell Sementera been married for over 20 years with the attorney Bruce Blakeman, a close friend of former New York Governor George Pataki. He is vice president for administration of the New England Motor Freight Inc, a trucking company based in New Jersey owned by his father.
